What a busy Summer! We had the pleasure to showcase ParaLily at TooManyGames, ReplayFX, and Unity Developer Day in NYC. So let’s talk about all of our awesome experiences from these events.
TooManyGames
We got to showcase ParaLily at TooManyGames back in June. (Wait June? Wow time flies). And the feedback we received from everyone was fantastic! We met so many people that weekend, and one person Sam, who is part of the Autistic Gaming Initiative, gave us something that boosted our spirits ten fold. Our first official piece of fan art!
Thanks again Sam! The rest of the weekend at TooManyGames included two interviews. One from the Super Fun Game Review Podcast GO and another from the local Philadelphia 17 news segment the Weekend Philler. Shoutout to both of them for letting us speak words about ParaLily on their shows.
We had an awesome time at TooManyGames, and we hope everyone that got a chance to play ParaLily did as well. Here’s a little snapshot of some fun ParaLily statistics from TooManyGames. (Yes, we said “fun statistics” we’re nerds :D)
Lastly, we’d be leaving out a seriously awesome surprise from TooManyGames if we didn’t mention the fact that two players decided to speed run the demo on a single controller!
So we thought we made really difficult #ParaLilyGame demo for #TooManyGames until @tina_stromboli and @TRlZGO showed up and put us in our place with this move! So much love for players that up the standards of being awesome! #gamedev #SpeedRun #PowerMoves pic.twitter.com/mkTTua7oAZ

ReplayFX
Our journey out to Pittsburgh, PA to showcase ParaLily at ReplayFX was epic! We got to hang with the good folks at Mega Cat Studios and sneak in some time on their game Little Medusa (Nate’s all time favorite retro console indie game). Our booth neighbors That Indie Studio were showing The Last Hex, which is a really approachable deck builder with a ton of charm. Players were great! A lot of families stopped by and played as a group. It’s awesome to see people overcoming difficult levels by team effort.
We definitely enjoyed our time at ReplayFX, and it was a crazy weekend to say the least!
Someone left us an Eggplant…
So setting up the #replayfx booth and the morning and it looks like some one left us a free eggplant! pic.twitter.com/4nGISJ7Bir

A spooky Pumpkin came by to play…
And we won an award!!!
Needless to say ReplayFX was a fantastic experience. Here’s some delicious data of how everyone at ReplayFX did!
Unity Developer Day
This was the most recent of three events, and was hosted by Unity (the engine we make ParaLily in). Throughout the day there were several talks about the new/upcoming features in Unity 2018. We also got to showcase ParaLily to other developers, and get a different kind of technical feedback that was really appreciated. Overall it was a worthwhile experience, and we got to meet many other talented developers. Oh, and Unity gave us this awesome banner for free!!!
Now what?!
Well for now we’re hard at work adding some essential features to make ParaLily feel more complete. Some of the latest things we’ve been working on include a new level selection system, a puzzle mini-game, and a brand new user interface/options menu.
Thank you,
ParaLily Dev Team
